Developers were given time till 17 February

Apple gave the app developers till 17 February to give trader information. It was said on behalf of the company that the apps have been banned for not getting information on time. Now following the rules of the European Union (EU), the company has removed 1.35 lakh apps in European countries in the last two days. Now till the information related to them will not be available and Apple does not verify it, till then the ban on these apps will remain in force. Since the launch of the app store, it is considered to be the biggest action ever.

EU has strict rules

Under the Rules of the European Union, it is mandatory for app developers to tell “trade status”. This means that in order to list your app on the app store, developers will have to give information like their address, phone number and email. If this information is not given then the app will be banned. Let us know that the Digital Service Act has been brought in Europe for online platforms. It was applied to it in 2023 as a Temporary and has been fully implemented from 17 February 2025. To comply with this, Apple gave app developers till 17 February.
