BSNL got a big blow
In July, after private telecom companies made recharge plans expensive, people started moving towards BSNL. However, now the trend has stopped and the number of customers of the government company has started decreasing. BSNL has lost about 3.4 lakh subscribers in November, 2024. This is the first time since July last year that the number of users of the company has decreased. Now the company has about 9.2 crore users left and it remains in fourth place.
Jio’s position strengthened
Jio’s position has become stronger in November and it has gained about 12 lakh new users. At present, Jio remains the largest telecom company in the country with 461 million users. Airtel occupies second place with 384 million users. However, the company suffered a loss of approximately 11 lakh users in November.
Vi suffered the most loss
Vodafone Idea (Vi) has suffered the biggest loss in terms of number of users. In November, about 15 lakh users left the company. Now it is the third largest telecom company in the country with 20.8 crore users. To attract new customers, Vi will soon start 5G service and will offer plans at about 15 percent compared to other companies.
