Social Media Ban for Under 16 Years: The Australian government has taken a big decision regarding the use of social media by underage children. Social media has now been banned in Australia for children under 16 years of age. Australia has become the first country in the world to take this historic decision. A law related to this has been passed in the Australian Parliament. The Australian government has taken this decision in view of the adverse effects on the mental health of the youth due to excessive use of social media.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that this law will help those families who are very serious about the problems their children are facing due to online platforms. Such platforms now have a social responsibility to give priority to the safety of our children.
