To stop the increasing cyber crime, the government will now make AI a shield. Actually, now AI and connected tools will be used to investigate cyber crime cases. The Home Ministry has taken this decision in view of the increasing such incidents, especially against women and children. The ministry has ordered the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center (I4C) under it to create AI based tools.
This will be beneficial
Using these tools it will become easier to report cyber crime. This will make it easier to report cases and will also reduce the time taken. According to media reports, AI tools will understand the pattern of cyber crimes and categorize them. This will also make the work of investigating agencies easier. These tools will be able to predict any risk in advance and will give information about it to the investigating agencies so that any fraud or crime can be stopped before it happens.
Government will help states to improve their system
The Home Ministry is also working on the provision of financial assistance to states and union territories to strengthen the fight against cyber crime. State governments will be able to use this money to strengthen their systems to prevent cyber crimes by improving cyber forensic expertise and investigation techniques.
