In Pakistan, internet shutdown has been done 21 times during the last year, 13 times in Russia, 7 in Ukraine, 6 in Palestine and 5 times in Bangladesh. In Pakistan, on 8 February last year, mobile internet was kept off across the country on the day of general elections.
