Streambox Media has launched India’s first subscription based TV OS. The Micromax-backed start-up company’s smart TVs will come with DorOS, in which users will be given subscription to more than 300 live TV channels and 24 OTT apps, including Amazon Prime Video, JioCinema, Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV, YouTube, Lionsgate Play, Zee5. In DorOS of this startup company, users will be given access to 24 OTT apps and more than 300 digital TV channels. The company has kept a monthly subscription plan of Rs 799 for this. This subscription based TV operating system can compete with Tata Play, Airtel Xstream TV etc. AI powered search feature has been provided in this TV operating system, which will easily help the users in choosing the entertainment program of their choice.
4K OLED TV also launched
Streambox has also equipped 4K QLED TV with this operating system, which is available in 43 inches, 55 inches and 65 inches. Of these, the 43-inch model will be made available for sale on the e-commerce platform Flipkart from December 1, 2024. Whereas, the remaining two models can be purchased from next year. The company will charge Rs 10,799 for this.
Will be able to access for free for the first month
In this, one time activation charge of Rs 9,999 and monthly subscription of Rs 799 will be available for TV. The special thing is that users will get free subscription with TV for the first month. At the same time, for the next 12 months, users will have to take a monthly plan of Rs 799 every month. After this, users will be able to customize the plan as per their convenience.
