Large action of the Government of India, block more than 100 foreign apps, know the reason

The Government of India has ordered Google Play Store to block 119 foreign apps. Most of these are video and voice chat apps and are connected to China and Hong Kong. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has issued orders in this regard under section 69A of the IT Act. This section gives the government the right to block such content or platforms, which may be a threat to national security or public system.

All apps to be blocked foreigners

Some of the apps that the government has ordered to block Google Play Store is also connected to Singapore, America, United Kingdom and Australia etc. According to Moneycontrol, despite the order, only 15 of the 119 apps have been removed and the rest are still available for download. Developers of some of these apps have said that Google has informed them about this and they are ready to work with the Government of India to resolve this issue. Block apps include apps like Changapp, Honeycam and Chillchat.

Many developers in the hope of clarification

According to the report, many developers have asked Google to get information about this, but they are expecting more clarification about this. He says that this order will also have a big impact along with their business. Some of them have said that they are ready to work with the Government of India.

Government of India has blocked the apps before

After increasing tension with China in 2020, the Government of India took strict action on Chinese apps. The government issued orders on different occasions and blocked more than 100 Chinese apps. These included apps like tickets, UC browser and pubji etc. However, some of these are now back.
