Kumbh Mela has started in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Crores of devotees will participate in this fair which will run till 26th February. In this connection, government telecom company BSNL has also made special arrangements to keep the devotees connected with their loved ones. BSNL has informed that it has installed 50 Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) in the fair premises. The job of BTS is to connect mobile devices to the network. Through these, BSNL is giving people an opportunity to provide digital services. Actually, BSNL has brought a special service for Kumbh Mela. In this, interested people can sponsor free voice, data and SMS to the Kumbh Mela devotees. In return, BSNL will send SMS with their names to all the people visiting the fair premises.
These are 4 types of sponsorship
BSNL has introduced 4 types of sponsorship under this service. If a person wants to sponsor free data, calls and SMS for devotees in 1st BTS, then he will have to pay Rs 10,000. Similarly, for 5 BTS this amount becomes Rs 40,000, for 30 BTS it becomes Rs 90,000 and for 50 BTS it becomes Rs 2.5 lakh. After this, SMS will be sent by the company to all the people present in the concerned BTS giving information about the sponsor person as per the service. Under this service, devotees will be able to use free SMS, data and calling facilities to stay connected with their loved ones during the Kumbh Mela without paying any money.
