Actually, this case was filed against Meta in the Texas court in the year 2022. Earlier in 2021 also a case was registered against the company. In this too the company was accused of violating the privacy rules. Later a settlement of 650 million was reached in this case. During this time the company had talked about shutting down the face recognition system and deleting the fingerprints of millions of users.

It is alleged that Google collected biometric data of users through devices like Google Photos, Google Assistant and Next Hub Max. The hearing on the case going on against Google is going on.
