Ranveer Allahbadia’s YouTube channel hacked: All videos deleted, name changed to ‘Tesla’

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia: Just a few days after the Supreme Court of India’s YouTube channel was hacked, Ranveer Allahbadia’s YouTube channel has also been hacked. Ranveer is a well-known and popular YouTuber of India, who interviews many Bollywood, sports, political and other celebrities on his podcast. He has two YouTube channels, one in his own name and the other is named BeerBiceps.

Ranveer Allahbadia’s YouTube channels hacked

Ranveer has been cyber attacked on both his YouTube channels. Hackers have hacked both his YouTube channels and have also changed their names. Hackers have changed the name of his popular channel BeerBiceps to “@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024”, while his personal channel has been renamed to “@Tesla.event.trump_2024”. Hackers have deleted all the YouTube videos on both these channels and have put up videos of old events of Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

PM Modi gave the reward

Ranveer started his content creation journey at the age of 22 with his first YouTube channel, BeerBiceps. Today he has around 7 YouTube channels, which have a total of about 12 million subscribers. On March 8 this year, PM Modi gave the Disruptor of the Year award to YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia at the National Creators Award 2024 held at Bharat Mandapam.

How does hacking happen?

Hackers showed QR codes in a live stream and asked people to send bitcoin or ethereum to elonweb.net. This is not the first time that social media accounts of a famous person or organization have been hacked. There have been many such cases in the past where hackers have shared links for investing in cryptocurrency from the accounts of celebrities. This is an old method, which is used to trap people.

Ranveer contacted YouTube

Ranveer and his team are shocked by the attack and are contacting YouTube to get their channels restored as soon as possible. YouTube first released a message removing their channels, stating that it was due to policy violations. Cyber attacks on Indian YouTube channels have become a matter of concern these days, and Ranveer’s channel being hacked has once again highlighted the need for cybersecurity and the importance of improving the security of digital platforms.
