The rules for porting mobile number have changed from today, now you will have to wait for 7 days

TRAI Mobile Number Port New Rules: A new rule has been issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) regarding mobile number porting, which is going to be implemented from today i.e. July 1. Now the SIM card cannot be ported easily. For this, users will have to wait for 7 days. This is the 9th amendment regarding mobile number porting.

TRAI has implemented this new rule to prevent fraud being done using mobile numbers so that the security of the users and their information can be kept safe. Under the new rules, the process of mobile number portability has been made even more stringent. Earlier, users could easily port their mobile number from one network to another, but now they will have to go through more time for this.

What do the new rules say?

Now, according to the changed rules, if a user wants to port his SIM, he will have to submit his application first. After this, you will have to wait for some time. In this new process, users will have to verify their identity and other information properly so that their information cannot be misused.

According to the new rules, users will get an OTP to verify their information, which they will use during the porting process. This new method may cause some inconvenience to the users, but keeping their security in mind, TRAI has implemented it. With this change, mobile users will have to be more careful and they will have to be more alert about the security of their SIM card and personal information.
