Nikhil rajpal: Nikhil Rajpal, an engineer of Indian origin, is part of Allen Musk’s DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) team, which is making a deep penetration in the US administrative system. This team has access to many sensitive government agencies, including the US Treasury Department, Office of Personal Management (OPM), and US Agency for International Development (USAID). However, recently the Treasury Department has temporarily stopped the reach of this team. According to reports, Nikhil Rajpal is a prominent member in this team and represents the DOGE Task Force in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
Who is Nikhil Rajpal?
According to WIRED report, Nikhil Rajpal has official email addresses of both dog and noaa and is also listed in NOAA’s public employee directory. He was also given Editor Access on all Google sites of NOAA, which was given on the instructions of Acting Commerce Secretary Jeremy Pelter.
Rajpal, also known as ‘Nick’, is about 30 years old. He has studied computer science and history from UC Berkeley. During college days he led a Libeterian student organization, which advocated minimum government, independent market, strong currency policy, non-interference, and maximum personal freedom.
According to the report, Rajpal was previously employed in Twitter before Alan Musk bought it. He also contributed significantly to Tesla’s console design. Interestingly, like other members of the DOGE team, Rajpal’s social media appearance has almost disappeared.
Doge team and other Indian origin members
According to a report by Propublica, Nikhil Rajpal is also listed as the “Expert” of OPM (Office of Personal Management). In Doge, Alan Musk has formed a team of six young engineers aged 19 to 24, including Edward Coristine, Luke Ferritor, Gotier Call Killian, Gavin Cliger and Ethan Shaotran.
Some of these have recently passed the college, while a member is still a student. The team also has another Indian -origin member Akash Bobba, who is working as a “expert” in OPM.
According to the report, Akash Bobba has an official email and A-level clearance of General Services Administration (GSA), which has access to all physical and IT systems of GSA. In the DOGE team, these young engineers have to report to the new Chief of Staff, Amanda Scals, which have been the first Talent Aquation lead in XAI and Uber.
