Google-owned YouTube is experimenting with many new features. The company has started testing them with its premium subscribers. This means that currently YouTube Premium users can take advantage of these features without paying any money. High quality audio- YouTube is testing high quality audio feature to improve audio. In this, 256kbps audio is being offered to the users on music videos. Due to this, audio is heard with clarity and depth.
AI-generated radio stations- The company is also testing an AI-generated radio station in YouTube Music. In this, users will have to indicate their choice. After this, YouTube’s AI model will prepare a tracklist on the same basis.
Jump Ahead on the Web- This feature is already available on mobile. Now it is also being brought on the web for premium users. In this, users will be able to directly access the best parts of the video while browsing on desktop. Apart from this, more playback speed options are being added to the platform. Now users will be able to watch videos at 4x speed also.
Picture in Picture and Smart Download for Shorts on iOS- Now it will be easier to watch shorts while multitasking. The company is testing Picture in Picture mode for Shorts for premium users on iOS. Similarly, downloading shorts for offline viewing is also going to be easy.
Will these features come to all users?
Currently YouTube is testing them with its premium users. After the test, the company may or may not move ahead with these. So far, no such information has been received as to when the company is planning to roll it out for all its users.
